Have you ever decided to sacrifice your sleep to stay up and make sure that your schoolwork is perfectly completed? Is using more of your time the only way to make your work better? The amount of time you put into something is the quantity and that does not mean everything. If you spent four hours studying for your biology test, and still do not feel confident, ask yourself, out of those four hours, how long was your mind completely focused on studying?
Let's say you go shopping; you would probably look at the quality of what you are going to buy rather than how much you are going to buy. You would also care more about the item because you searched a lot to find that perfect one, and you would care about it a lot to make sure it doesn't get damaged. Buying better quality does take a little more effort than just buying the first thing you see, this will also save space because if you look at the quality of something and buy, then you would buy less, and buying less would save you space
Another example might be choosing TV shows to watch. There are many shows but just because there are a lot of shows does not mean you will watch them all; you will probably watch the ones that you think are better. Here, you are looking for a show with better quality. Similarly, in school, your teacher is looking for better quality in the work that you submit.
If quality over quantity is applicable in everyday occurrences such as shopping and TV, why not apply the same method to your schoolwork?
The quality of your work is more important because if you focus more on the quality of work, then you would understand more things than just memorizing, and understanding the concept would benefit you no matter how hard the question or anything could be, because if you know the concept of something then that's kind of what actually matters and that is what actually counts, and benefits you. Here are three tips that will show a better quality of work and less quantity of time:
When you do your homework or study for a test, the first thing you should do is turn your phone off and keep any potential distractions away from you.
Set a time limit and within that time completely focus on the task at hand.
After that time is done, take a break for 10 minutes, do whatever you want and relax.
With this method, you will be most likely to complete something in less time and be more beneficial to yourself, because you are keeping yourself from being distracted while you are working. Moreover, once you complete your work, you have the rest of the time to yourself.
Not only can this help you for school, but this can help you with your day to day life. Many people have often stated, “time is limited,” so you should try to make the most of it!
Make a schedule and follow it. When you create a schedule of how you want to spend your day, and follow it, you might have some time left. Maybe you can use this time to discover some unexplored talents you might have, you never know!
You can start right now, do not think about starting it from tomorrow or later. You can make a schedule right now for what you want to do with the rest of the day, and get a head start by making a schedule for tomorrow.
